Follicles are implanted one by one, directly into the area that needs coverage. Once settled, the transplanted hair keeps growing for life.

DHI achieves among the most natural, successful results in hair restoration — follicles are moved from the donor area and implanted directly, with no channels opened in advance.

Follicles are extracted from the donor area with a micro-motor, then transplanted into the recipient site using a pen-like device fitted with a fine hollow needle — the DHI implanter. Because the method needs no pre-cut channels, the head does not have to be shaved.

Each follicle is placed back into the scalp within about 1–3 minutes of being extracted, so grafts spend very little time outside the body — which supports strong survival and growth.

The overall process is similar to FUE, but implantation is direct: the same tool that holds the follicle also sets it, giving control over the exact direction, angle and depth of every hair.
